Honestly, a team sustaining 47-run defeat in a WT20 opener is a warning indication in itself. It has now become crystal clear that India are not invisible and there are lots of things that the team should rectify before it’s too late.

Indian Batsmen failed miserably against NZ spin.

#1) Now every match is a do or die battle for team India. Dhoni needs to win all the remaining three matches to stay alive at this World T20 tournament.

#2) Indian openers have to take responsibility and give a flying start to the team. I’m still unsure if Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma will live up to the expectations in the next matches or not. They are simply inconsistent with the bat and fail to build good opening partnership.

#3) Don’t take undue pressure for India Vs Pakistan match on Saturday, because India needs to play outstanding cricket in all its next 3 matches. One more defeat will throw India out of this championship.

#4) Except Kohli and Dhoni, no one else is consistent or seems to play responsibly in the middle order. I really wonder what restraining Yuvraj from playing aggressive match winning knocks for which he is known for.

Past records won’t work this time. The team needs to play collectively as a unit and excel in all departments batting, bowling and fielding or else it’s better to stop dreaming WT20 world cup in Team India’s grip.
