In a recent Holi event “Play Holi with Sunny Leone” in Surat, the actor had an ugly encounter with a reporter who questioned her character; as reported by mid-day in the article “ Sunny Leone slaps the journalist for asking her rate for ‘night programmes’ ”, dated March 25, 2016.

The Incident

The event was organized in a five-star hotel and she arrived there early morning with her husband, Daniel Webber. However, soon a drunkard barged into her room and asked for ‘favors’. Yet she didn’t let the incident to be blown to the level of making a mountain out of mole-hill and took things in control. But she lost her nerve when a national news channel’s reporter asked her in the corridor, “You were a porn star earlier, now you are a film star. So how much do you charge now?” To this infuriated Leone, asked the interviewer to repeat the question and latter said, “How much do you charge for a night program?”

Did Sunny Leone Really Slapped The Reporter?

Impromptu Leone slapped the person in front of the audience consisting of hotel staff and visitors and left for her room. To this, organizers were worried if she will perform or not, but being a professional she danced for promised time but only on one condition that media personages must not be present inside. As per the correspondence with mid-day, Daniel Webber said, “Sunny Leone has given an apt reply to the reporter so we are not filling any police complaint. The organizers were also school kids so we do not want their careers to be damaged. But henceforth, Sunny will think a thousand times before coming to Gujarat.”

Hypocritical Indian Mentality

Nevertheless, one question that pertains is that why people fail to see porn industry as another professional space. Moreover, the third highest Android traffic on Pornhub comes from India and it’s Indian daily visitors only who make it to the fifth highest rank, as per the survey released by the website reported by India Today in the article “Complete survey on how India watches porn”, dated November 23, 2014.

In a country where Kamasutra was invented, where people can watch and read r-rated stuff, then why things pertaining to sex are still talked in the hushed tones. Why stereotypical Indians have to behave like hypocrites.
