To me,the tagline of ‘A GENTLEMAN’ : Sunder, Susheel , Risky’….. sounds like description of some bra- burning feminist in matrimonial advertisement.

But here we are talking about too-hot-to-handle Siddharth Malhotra in a dual role of a sunder and risky gentleman.

A Gentleman Review

Susheel Gaurav is a typical take-home-to-mom guy that every girl would like to marry. His ultimate dream in life is to settle down with a sunder girl and play around his two cherubs on perfectly manicured lawns. Now only if the the-lady-of-his-dreams, Jacqueline Fernandez could agree. But she prefers a ‘risky’ guy, living-on-the-edge kind.

Girls are demanding more action, are we ??????

Well, she does find her ‘Bang Bang’ guy called Rishi. He is a perfect spoil for Gaurav who literally swears and raps by his gun in “Bandook Meri Laila” style.

However with the comical turn of the events, the lives of these three people get overlapped and complicated. Driving them to the end of the road is our Anna,

Suneel Shetty, after a long hiatus. And that gives the chance to director duo Raj & D.K to take us on an adrenaline filled drive  from Miami to Goa to Mumbai in dare-devil chases and skyscraper jumps.Phewww ????????

But you guessed it right, A GENTLEMAN is like a colorful and attractive glossy magazine that has nothing to read but ample to ogle at.

We, the audience, are taken for a royal ride that promises breathtaking locales, pretty faces, peppy dances and top notch action sequences that boast of lavish production values.

In short, it is a sleek and stylish film that is zero on content but high on intent ( of making a fool of oneself ????).

Just to add that in last 30 minutes, the nail-biting chase over high-end bikes, over helicopters, cars, buses etc etc wake you up from the inertia before the exasperated public decides to walk all over you in a huff.

Film’s only plus point is the sizzling chemistry between Sid and Jacky who complement each other in every way.

Lookswise, this expensive couple is wrapped up in the choicest designer wear that will surely send a collective Ooohs and Aahhs in the air.

Music of Sachin-Jigar is strictly hummable but nothing extraordinary though choreographed beautifully.

Siddharth Malhotra needs to loosen up his static facial muscles. I mean how long can your biceps and triceps will do the talking ?????? But to his credit, he fills up the screen as a sauve and smooth operator who fights like a Gladiator and romances like a -007…. acting be damned ????????.

Jacqueline Fernandez, the wide eyed saucy brunette, raises the ooomph factor to high heavens. Her carefully sculpted gym bod is presented to us in uber glamorous shots in every scene and from every angle. Only hitch is her overdoing of preening, grinning and pouting session for no apparent reason that leaves us frustrated and irritated to no end. Again, acting be damned ????????.

Suneel Shetty in a small cameo joins the gang of well dressed and well heeled people who have jumped straight out of online fashion portals in hip avatars. But again his 8 packs and grey looks are not enough to save the day or the film in any way.

Finally, the choice is yours…. whether to sleep in the auditorium or sleep in the house….. enjoying rains would be a better option. ????????
