If you are a 10 year old, you always think about playing with your friends, going to school, completing your homework and watching your favourite cartoon.

But this was not the case with Ishita Katyal, the sweet and cute girl from Pune. At the age of 8, Ishita became a published author by writin.g a book ‘Simran’s Diary’. A book in which a young girl tells about the words around her.

And at the age of 10, she is youngest speaker at TEDx

A message from next generation

The speech, which Ishita delivered at TEDx, was a confident and hopeful one. She confidently talked about her dreams and ideas. She asked all parents and children to focus what they are doing currently instead of thinking what they will do, once they grow up.

She says instead of paasing fear of failure in future, parents should help their child to enjoy their present. Talking about her dream she said, hopefully in future people will think 10 times before raising the school fees, a hundred times before going in to war with any other country, a thousand times before wasting food and water, and ten thousand times before letting their child’s childhood go away,” she says. “I hope you adults can look after the world long enough to give us our chance.”

Last year she organised a TEDx talk at her own school, Vibgyor High in Balewadi.
