Producer Prakash Jha has come with a new film with the title Lipstick Under My Burkha. Directed by Alankita Srivastava, the film features a galaxy of National Award-winning actors such as Konkona Sen Sharma, Plabita Borthakur, Ratna Pathak Shah and Aahana Kumra.

According to sources, the plot of the story revolves around the lives of four women of Bhopal who want to change their routine lives. Konkona Plays the role of a desperate housewife with three children, while Ratna acts as a widow in the movie but finds her love on telephone. Aahana Kumra portrays the role of a young beautician but she escapes the small town. Plabita, portrays herself as a strong girl aiming to be a successful pop singer.

Until now, there is no official date for the release of the film, but the movie’s theatrical release at the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI) Film Festival on October 26, later this month.
