The two cricket giants India and West India are set to clash against each other in Mumbai on Tuesday at the World T20 second semi final.

It’s certainly not going to be a cakewalk for India as the Caribbean team is ready to repeat their second miracle tomorrow. They accomplished their first miracle on defeating South African and virtually knocking them out of the tournament a few days back.

Virat Kohli Or Chris Gayle?

Virat Kohli might be in a sublime form but explosive batsman Chris Gayle is ready to battle it out for his team. The left handed batsman stunned the world when he hit an unbeaten century against England with 11 towering sixes in the World T20 opener. No doubt, when Gayle is on his rhythm no pitch is too big for him. Ahead of the big clash, Gayle stated, “Semi final is a perfect opportunity to actually start the tournament and get a big knock and put one’s team in a winning position”.

As a matter of fact, only Virat Kohli from India is in impeccable form while others are simply basking in his glory. The likes of Dhawan, Raina and Rohit Sharma are showing no sign to improve their form in this coveted championship.

Injury Concerns for Both teams

Experienced Yuvraj Singh contributed well with the bat until so far, but he has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Manish Pandey or Ajinkya Rahane might replace the veteran cricketer for tomorrow’s match.

Similarly, the West Indian batsman Andre Fletcher will not feature in the entire tournament due to his hamstring trouble. Lendl Simmons is expected to join the West Indian squad for tomorrow’s high voltage clash.

India and West Indies: The Journey So Far at WT20 2016

India lost their first T20 match against New Zealand before winning the next three matches consecutively. Contrarily, West Indies won all three clashes successively before losing out to minnows Afghanistan in a shocking manner.

No doubt, the match would be a battle of thorns and no team can win it easily without making extra effort. Every run counts and so are the dot balls.

Will Spin Be a Big Factor?

But what is definitely going in India’s favor is the presence of a quality spinner – Ravishchandra Ashwin. It could make a big difference in pressure match especially on subcontinent pitches.

Until now, West Indies haven’t found any good replacement for Sunil Narine in this tournament. Many Cricket experts have already declared that winning big matches in India without spinners is just not possible. Yet, Windies are a good T20 side who believes more on improvisation than convention. Can they really upset India tomorrow?
