Actors like Arjun Rampal have their softer selves too! The supermodel, who starred along with Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in Aankhen says that he has a new focus in life. Nowadays, Arjun Rampal is working day and night towards providing affordable treatment to cancer patients worldwide.

Arjun Rampal may be busy with his forthcoming projects, Aankhen 2 and Daddy. Yet he finds time to help those afflicted with this life-threatening disease.

The magic of Rock On produced and directed by Farhan Akhtar still lingers in the mind of the audience.

He has just returned from the United States after visiting his ailing mother, Gwen Rampal. His mother had recently undergone treatment for breast cancer, which was a successful one. Now she is on the road to recovery.

Arjun Rampal is aware that not everyone in India or for that matter, the rest of the world can afford cancer treatment. Therefore he has tied up with a few hospitals to extend free treatment to a set number of patients on an annual basis.

The supermodel is married to Mehr Jessia who is a fashion icon in her own right.

Born on November 26, 1972, in Jabalpur, Arjun Rampal has starred in a clutch of films that are somewhat offbeat. He has bagged a National Award for his performance in Rock On.

The actor made his debut in 2001 in Rajiv Rai’s Pyar, Ishq Aur Mohabbat. Since then, Arjun Rampal has not looked back.

Folks will do well to remember that there are some other Bollywood celebrities who are doing good work on social causes. Late Sunil Dutt Saab, saddened by the loss of his wife Nargis, had begun a charity on cancer treatment. Similarly, who can forget Salman Khan and his Being Human initiative that reaches out to the poor and unprivileged. Nana Patekar too has been helping farmers in Maharashtra with his NGO.
