Force 2 movie review has been a tricky affair for us.

But for the stunning beauty of Hungary and the versatility of  Tahir Raj Bhasin, we would have given a complete thumbs down to this movie.

The story line of Force 2 promises to be a great Friday treat for all those movie buffs who have been longing for John’s biceps, Sonakshi’s rustic charm and the pace of an action thriller. And when you have had your fill of the duo then sit back and savor the scenic beauty of Hungary.

Force 2  is essentially about a RAW agent (John) and his mission to uncover some dark sinister truths. His mission partner; the refreshingly packaged Sonakshi who essays the role of agent KK.

The Force 2 storyline revolves around three RAW agents who are killed – mysteriously of course- in China. It now devolves upon our agent, Inspector Yash, to uncover the murders. Apart from the call of the national duty, Yash has another reason to solve the case. One of the trio is  his friend, Harish.

The villain of the plot is Shiv Sharma (Tahir Raj Bhasin), a junior employee in the Indian embassy at Budapest. Sharma looks earnest but deep down he runs a crime syndicate.

What happens next is an unending series of frames about John’s bulging biceps, Sonakshi’s new avatar and Budapest’s enchanting landscape. While Johnny boy’s theatrics ( as usual he is stone faced)   are anticipated, what comes as  a surprise package is the ethereal beauty of the Hungarian countryside. Hat tips to Mohana Krishna and Imre Juhasz for their cinematography.

Abhinay Deo (Delhi Belly, Game) has to do some serious soul searching if he has to go far in his directorial venture. With Ramesh Deo (Anand) being his father, better things are expected from him in future. Tahir Raj Bhasin justifies his role which is an extension of Mardaani

Sonakshi as KK sizzles. Her dance moves are a surprise to those who have watched her in Dabang and her other flicks. Sonakshi’s role as KK is somewhat more credible than John’s.

Force 2 movie songs have been  delivered  soulfully by Amal and Armaan Malik, Neha Kakkar and Aditi Singh Sharma.

Go ahead, enjoy this fast paced pick. We believe this fare of 2 hours, 26 minutes is worth the hullabaloo that you faced in the crazy week that has just gone by.
