Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Open Letter

Mr. Bachchan recently wrote an open letter to his granddaughters, Navya at 18 and Aradhya at 4. In this letter he has addressed two of the biggest things which may become issues of contention in the course of their lives; the responsibilities that come with their famous last names, and their gender. He tells them to be fearless in everything that they do and not let the words of others influence them. He tells them to ignore the irrelevance of others trying to dictate “how to dress, how to behave, who you can meet and where you can go.” He tells them “Don’t let anyone make you believe that the length of your skirt is a measure of your character”.

Amitabh Bachchan – “it was a letter to granddaughters everywhere”

In a video that was released later, Mr. Bachchan has claimed that although this letter was addressed to his grand daughters, in spirit, it was a letter to granddaughters everywhere. His letter is proof that people everywhere pull down women and criticizes them. There is always someone somewhere who will be holding us up, telling us to not be scared, to open our wings and fly, and go off to wherever we want.

Thank you sir, women around the world applause you!!
