With Uri attacks, a surge in the Indo-Pak tension was seen. This time the tension was boundless and swiped Bollywood in it as well. The Bollywood got divided in and against the presence of Pakistani artists being a part of Bollywood. MNS strictly stood against their presence and warned them to leave India impromptu. The political party was adamant in disrupting the screening of movies with the artists from the other side of the border. This entire chaos badly affected ADHM, which is slated to release on October 28, 2016.
The promotions of ADHM were badly affected as Fawad Khan was missing. Moreover, another thunderstorm struck when the single screen and multiplex owners were in double mind to screen it or not. They had already invested the money in the movie. However if the movie got screened, they were afraid that the theatres would be destroyed by the MNS activists and other outraged people, for screening a movie with Pakistani artist in it.
The tension related to the movie screening of Ae Dil Hae Mushkil kept the fans, people associated with movie and theatre owners simply worried. On other hand, it was speculated that this will be in favor of Shivaay, as this Ajay Devgan starrer movie is slated for the same Diwali release.
Nevertheless, Cinema Owner s and Exhibitors’ Association, Mumbai has resolved this issue. The solution is unprecedented and in favor of everyone, be it filmmaker, theatre owners, fans or the common people.
Everyone is happy with the solution. Maybe you might just rush to book the tickets of the two movies’ first day and first show. You surely will be telling everyone to do the same as well.
Don’t believe us!!! Then read this letter.
But just one last question:
What if your ticket of the first day first show of these two movies goes to “the family of lost soldiers in URI”, would you not buy it? What if you enjoy a movie, paying the same amount for the ticket, but it goes to them, would you not buy it?
I know, you will.
Now see you in theaters on 28 October.
